From April 25 to May 3, the 2026 Florence International Handicraft Exhibition opened grandly in Italy. China's original "Dream of Red Mansions" cultural IP, which carries the essence of Chinese classical literature, shines dazzlingly on the international stage with its unique oriental aesthetics.

Relying on the deep friendship established between Ningbo and Florence as sister cities, Hu Haiping, the IP creator of Hushan Art Museum's "Painting Red Mansions", went to Italy to participate in the exhibition with a series of high-quality products at the official invitation of the exhibition.

Hu Haiping's ancestral home is Jishigang Town, Haishu District. He has been passionate about the art of calligraphy and painting since he was a child. He is deeply involved in traditional painting and is keen on the study of classical literature. He uses pen and ink to express his emotions and devotes himself to exploring the beauty of Red Mansion culture.

There are 12 works in five groups in this exhibition, which vividly restore the five classic scenes of "Dream of Red Mansions", including Taixu illusion, Daiyu entering the house, Shi Xiangyun lying drunk on peony, Daiyu burying flowers, Qingwen tearing the fan, etc.

Entering the exhibition area, several two-meter-high giant paintings are spread out one after another.Their meticulous brushwork and elegant tones fully outline the classic artistic conception of the Red Mansion.
Professional Italian introductions are provided on site to help international friends overcome language barriers and intuitively appreciate the oriental heritage and cultural connotation behind the context of the Red Mansions.
As an important carrier of cultural exchanges between Ningbo and Florence, this exhibition takes classic literature as its core and relies on traditional craftsmanship to build a bridge for cultural exchanges between the East and the West.
A special cooperation and docking area is set up at the exhibition site to actively connect with international cultural and creative resources, seek cooperation in the field of local Italian handicrafts, and promote the integration and symbiosis of Red Mansion cultural elements and Western-style ingenuity.
